Say hi. I read everything that comes in, even when I’m slow to answer.

Email: hellokoreacrush@gmail.com

What I’m happy to hear about

Questions about visiting Korea. The more specific, the better answer you’ll get. “What should I eat in Seoul” is hard to answer. “I have one free evening in Jongno, I can’t do spicy, and I’m travelling alone” is easy.

Corrections. A price that’s gone up, a place that closed, a station exit I got wrong. Please send these. Tell me what the post says and what you found instead, and I’ll check it, fix it, and note the change on the post. My editorial policy explains how I handle corrections.

Things I got wrong about your country, too. I write in English as a second language and I compare Korean things to Western ones a lot. Sometimes those comparisons miss. Tell me.

Requests. If there’s something about Korea you’ve never found a straight answer to, send it over. That’s where a lot of posts come from.

For brands and businesses

If you’re a Korean brand, a tourism organization, an agency, or a hotel, use the same email and put “Partnership” in the subject line so it doesn’t get lost.

Include these in the first message, please:

  • Who you are and what the product or place is
  • What you’re proposing (gifted product, paid post, affiliate partnership, press visit)
  • Your timeline and budget range, if there is one

Two things worth knowing before you write. I only cover things I’d use myself or send a friend to, and I say no fairly often. And paying me doesn’t buy a good review: every sponsored or gifted post is labelled at the top, and the opinion inside it is still mine, including the parts you won’t like. That’s all spelled out in the editorial policy.

I don’t accept guest posts, link insertions, or “we noticed your article and have a resource to add” emails. Those go straight to the bin.

How long I take

I usually reply within 3-5 business days. If it’s been longer than that, your message probably ended up in spam, so it’s fine to send it again.

I answer travel questions in whatever order I open them, not by how urgent they are, so if your trip is next week please say so in the subject line.

One thing I can’t help with: visas, immigration, and anything legal or medical. I’m not qualified, and a confident wrong answer from a stranger on the internet is the last thing you need. Check the official source.

Privacy

If you email me, I keep your message so I can reply and so I can find it later if you write again. I don’t add you to any list and I don’t pass your address to anyone. The privacy policy has the details.
