Coffee. That’s my entire weekday breakfast, and I’m a Korean guy in my forties living in Seoul with two kids.

Almost every English article about what Koreans eat for breakfast in Seoul shows you rice, soup, and a row of little side dishes. That table is real. In my apartment it happens about twice a year. My kids eat breakfast every single morning, I skip it, and the national numbers say my household is not unusual.
